Who operates Eastern Night

What stays on your device by default
You can begin the 24-hour full-access experience without creating an account. Favorites, listening records, background and language choices, timers, bedtime plans, reminder settings, guided-program progress and optional morning reflections are stored on your device by default. A listening record includes a sound identifier, playback duration, start time, time zone and listening-night date. Listening records and morning reflections are not measurements of sleep, sleep stages or a medical condition.
We do not use your listening records for advertising or send them to an AI model. The app does not request microphone, contacts, location or health-data permissions. Device or cloud backups managed by your operating system may include local app data.
Optional Apple or Google sign-in
Where account sign-in is available, you may choose Apple or Google. The provider handles its sign-in screen under its own policies. Apple sign-in requests email access only, without requesting your full name. Our account service validates a signed identity token and uses the provider-specific user identifier and, when available, a verified email address. The Eastern Night account service does not extract, store or return names or phone numbers. Unexpected profile or phone claims are discarded before account processing. We create a separate Eastern Night account identifier and a session so you can return to that account. We do not receive your Apple or Google password.
The account service also stores the introductory-experience start and end time. Signing in does not itself subscribe you, restart an existing account's experience or change a store's subscription price. Accounts are matched by the provider's verified identifier; equal email addresses do not automatically combine Apple and Google accounts.
Provided username and password accounts
In supported releases, a separately provided Eastern Night account can sign in with a username and password. This does not require signing in to Apple or Google. We store the account username and a salted password hash, not the password itself. Passwords are sent over HTTPS for verification and are not saved on the device. This sign-in method does not ask for a name, phone number or email address, and does not automatically link to an Apple or Google account. The same optional sync, membership checks, sign-out and account-deletion controls apply.
Google sign-in on iOS and Android
On iOS, Google sign-in opens a system-provided browser authorization page. On Android, it uses native Google account selection through Credential Manager. Google operates its own sign-in flow under its policies. The iOS authorization request asks only for identity and email access, without profile, contacts or phone scopes. On Android, the native account-selection component may handle basic provider profile details under Google's policies; Eastern Night does not copy those fields into its account profile or sync data. We do not request additional information from Google's user-profile API.
Google and the operating system may process technical information such as IP address and sign-in security information to deliver and protect authentication. We do not use Google sign-in for advertising or to track you across other companies' apps or websites. The app does not request GPS or location permission. Cloud sync is your choice
When you choose account sync, favorites, listening records and background settings are uploaded to the Eastern Night account service so you can retrieve that account's data on another device. Synced listening records include sound identifiers, actual playback duration, start time, time zone and listening-night date. Background settings include the selected background and color theme. Earlier records created without signing in are added only when you explicitly choose to merge this device's earlier listening.
Signing in does not automatically upload another account's or a guest's existing records. Morning reflections, bedtime plans, reminders and guided-program enrollment are not part of the account-sync data in this release. We use synced data to provide the account and sync features, not to measure sleep or deliver advertising. Cloud sync and sign-in require an internet connection; media already downloaded can be reused offline when access is available.
Account security and retention
Account requests use HTTPS. Provider identity tokens and authorization codes are checked for validity and replay protection. Account-session tokens are stored as hashes on the server. Apple sign-in requires an encrypted provider refresh token so we can revoke authorization when you delete your account. This credential is not used to read unrelated Apple information. Database access is restricted to the account service; not every field in the account database is individually encrypted.
Account identity, experience dates and synced data remain until you delete the account. Sessions expire and can be invalidated by signing out. Temporary sign-in challenges and token replay records have short validity periods. When an account is deleted, its identity, synced data and sessions are removed. If Apple revocation is temporarily unavailable, only an encrypted revocation credential, client identifier and retry metadata remain until revocation succeeds; the deleted profile and listening history are not kept in that queue. Hosting providers may process technical/security data needed to run and protect the service.
Your choices and deletion
Use the account controls in Eastern Night to sign out or delete your Eastern Night account. Account deletion removes cloud favorites, synced listening records, background settings and sign-in details, and invalidates its sessions. It does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Use the store's subscription settings to cancel billing separately.
Reset app data clears data on this device and cancels its scheduled reminders; it is different from deleting a cloud account. Deleting listening history or local app data does not automatically delete a cloud snapshot. You can request account and associated data deletion through support@gettinyforge.com if you cannot use the app. Tell us that the request concerns Eastern Night and which sign-in provider you used; we will verify ownership without asking for a password, authentication code, private key or payment-card details. Manage separate operating-system backups through the backup provider. Deleted local records cannot be recovered by TinyForge.

Reminders, reflections and sharing
Bedtime and optional morning reminders are scheduled locally after you enable them and grant notification permission. They use no remote push token for delivery. Focus mode, travel and operating-system settings may affect delivery. Reopen the app after changing time zones. Optional morning reflections are subjective entries stored locally; skipping does not create a score or an inferred entry.
Sharing is optional. The app shows a preview before opening the device's share sheet; the summary excludes exact start times and time zone. Opening the share sheet does not publish anything by itself. The service or app you choose handles shared information under its own policy.
Audio delivery and downloads
Online playback and downloads request audio from gettinyforge.com and its hosting/storage infrastructure. Requests include the technical IP address and requested file. An audio request does not contain your listening-history database or morning reflections. Online playback may use mobile data. Completed downloads can be reused offline; the operating system may remove cached files when storage is low. Automatic-download settings and removal controls are available in the app.
Store subscriptions and RevenueCat
Apple or Google processes store payments. In payment-enabled builds, RevenueCat verifies membership and provides subscription reporting using purchase records, technical app information, and an anonymous app identifier or, after account association, your Eastern Night account identifier. Your listening history, favorites, morning reflections and background settings are not sent to RevenueCat. We do not receive your payment-card details. Preview builds may disable purchases and RevenueCat.
Resetting data, signing out or deleting the Eastern Night account does not cancel billing or automatically erase records held by Apple, Google or RevenueCat. Store transaction records may be retained under their rules and applicable requirements. For a billing-data request, contact support so we can verify ownership. Website visits and support
These Eastern Night information pages do not include advertising cookies, behavioral analytics scripts or a website sign-in form. Hosting/network providers process technical requests to deliver and secure the pages. If you email support, we use your address and message to respond and resolve the request. Please do not send private health information. Other parts of gettinyforge.com have their own features and website privacy policy; using Eastern Night does not automatically sign you in to them.
