Using Eastern Night

Eastern Night provides sounds, music, stories and relaxation practices for a bedtime routine. It does not measure sleep, diagnose a condition or provide medical treatment. Listen at a comfortable volume and only where it is safe to relax. Do not use a relaxation exercise while driving or doing an activity that requires attention.

The 24-hour introductory experience

In releases using this access model, your first use begins a 24-hour period with access to the app's features. You may open the app more than once during that period. An account is optional for the introductory experience. It does not automatically create a paid subscription, charge you or start a recurring store trial.

After the introductory period ends, continued use of listening and member features requires a verified subscription. An item already playing may finish normally. Account controls, privacy information, subscription management and purchase restoration remain available. Signing in does not itself grant membership or extend an existing account's introductory period. Subscription access is verified through the store and RevenueCat.

Membership and recurring payments

The native purchase screen shows the available plans, included features, localized price, billing period and any eligible store trial before confirmation. Monthly and yearly plans provide the benefits listed on that screen. A yearly plan charges its full annual amount at once. Future features are not a promise of availability.

A store-provided free trial is separate from the app's initial 24-hour experience. If a store trial is offered and you choose it, it converts to the displayed recurring subscription unless cancelled according to the store's terms. Trial eligibility is determined by the store and is not guaranteed for every account. No subscription begins merely by opening the app or creating an Eastern Night account.

Optional accounts and sync

Where sign-in is enabled, you may use Apple or Google to create or return to an Eastern Night account. Keep your provider account secure and do not share your session or authorization codes. Accounts are identified by the verified provider identity; using the same email with another provider does not automatically merge accounts.

Account sync stores favorites, listening records and background settings for that account. Earlier guest/device records are uploaded only when you explicitly choose to merge them. You can sign out or delete the Eastern Night account in the app. A local reset is different from deleting the cloud account. The privacy policy explains the actual fields, purposes and deletion choices. Sync may be interrupted by connectivity or conflicting edits; keep any local records you need before choosing a deletion action.

Your data and content

Your local data remains on your device unless a feature such as account sync or optional sharing sends the described data elsewhere at your choice. Operating-system backups may contain local app data. Listening time is a record of playback, not a measurement of sleep or evidence of a health outcome.

App artwork and original content are licensed for personal use within the app. Separate credited recordings keep their stated licenses. In particular, the three guqin recordings by Charlie Huang and our listening edits remain available under CC BY 2.5, including commercial copying, sharing and adaptation with attribution. App terms and membership restrictions do not limit those licensed rights. See music credits and unrestricted downloads. Other recordings retain their credited licenses.

Manage, cancel and restore

Use the store where you purchased to manage or cancel the subscription, following the cancellation deadline shown by that store. Deleting the app, resetting device data, signing out or deleting an Eastern Night account does not cancel a subscription. Refund requests follow the store's procedures and your applicable consumer rights. Restore purchases with the original store account. Availability on another device or platform depends on the verified store entitlement and account association; a new login alone does not prove a purchase.

Offline use and availability

Completed media downloads can be reused offline while app access is available. Signing in, cloud sync, a new purchase and account deletion require an internet connection. Subscription renewal or restoration may require reconnection for verification. The operating system may clear cached media when storage is low. Download availability does not create a permanent subscription entitlement.

We work to keep the service usable. Reminders, background playback and downloads also depend on your device settings and operating system. We may update the app and these terms, disclosing material changes where required. These terms do not limit rights you have under applicable consumer law. For the iOS app, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies.

Help and deletion requests

Email support@gettinyforge.com with the app version and a brief description. You may also request Eastern Night account and associated-data deletion by email if you cannot use the in-app deletion control; we will verify ownership. Do not send passwords, authentication codes, private keys, payment-card details or private health information.
